Mrs. Maya

Kindergarten
Mrs. Maya Attinello Rodrigues

Mrs. Maya Attinello Rodrigues grew up in Canada but has lived in Portugal for 9 years. Maya studied Youth and Community Work at Mooreland’s College in Bournemouth England and has worked teaching English as a second language in many primary schools in Portugal. She has also taught dance to young children at Holmes Place, and this will be her third year teaching Kindergarten at ICSC.
 
 

Miss Gina

Grades 1-2
Miss Gina Choe

Miss Gina Choe was born and raised in a Korean family in Dallas, Texas. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Ecology with a minor in Educational Studies at the University of California, Irvine. Post graduation, she attended California State University, Fullerton and earned her teaching credential.  She is certified to teach Early Childhood through 6th grade and is authorized to work with English Language Learners.  She has taught grades 1-3 and is looking forward to another year at ICSC.  

Mr. Santos

Grades 3-4/Assistant Director 
Mr. Pedro Santos

Mr. Pedro Santos has been a teacher at ICSC since 1998, but only in the 3rd and 4th grade for the last six years. He has gained great motivation in teaching after seeing the difference Christian education can make in the lives of his students at ICSC. After teaching Math and Geography in the High School, an opportunity to teach in the elementary provided Mr. Santos with the privilege of working with a different age group and a renewed love for education.

 

 

Mrs. Santos

Grades 5-6 
Mrs. Marcia Santos

Mrs. Marcia Santos was born in the United States. She is a graduate of Cedarville University with a degree in Elementary Education. She came to Portugal in 1985 as a single missionary and had a very blessed ministry teaching and assisting in church planting with ABWE in Portugal. She came to ICSC in 1995 when she married Pedro and left the mission. She has been teaching for a total of 25 years.

Miss Mapes

Grade 7-8
Miss Karen Mapes

Miss Karen Mapes is from Rochester, New York. She has seven years of teaching experience. The past six years she taught fourth grade at a Christian school in her hometown. Before that she taught middle school for a year. Karen is a graduate of Cedarville University in Ohio, with a degree in Elementary Education and received her masters in education from Baptist Bible College in Pennsylvania. When she’s not teaching you might find Karen reading, cooking, outdoors, or playing her viola. She is looking forward to her first year at ICSC.

Mr. Lenardson

Mr. Robb Lenardson

Mr. Robb Lenardson was born in the United States.  He graduated from the University of Toledo with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration.  After working for 20 years in various financial and managerial  roles, he returned to school to earn his teaching credentials from the Indiana Wesleyan University in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  This will be his second year at ICSC, teaching Math and Science.

Mrs. Anna Lenardson


Mrs. Anna Lenardson was born in the United States.  She is currently completing her degree in Social Sciences (with a concentration in Education) at Ashford University.  This is her second year at ICSC, teaching History, Geography and American Government, in addition to working with students with special needs.
